Over 100 Years
At Ayshford Sansome we enjoy our work and take a pride in the results. Every commission is lead by a director from inception through to handover. This ensures that a continuity and quality of design is maintained throughout the entire process, making the most of a projects potential.
In addition to creativity, we bring a strong teamwork ethic to schemes, which we believe is essential to delivering successful projects. We have built a reputation for forming long-lasting partnerships with building professionals, whilst earning the respect and trust of our clients.
Ayshford Sansome celebrates more than 100 years since the practice was first formed in the 1900's and more than 70 years since Harold Ayshford & Lionel Sansome (the company's namesakes) first began using the name the practice still adopts today. The longevity of the practice is testament to our ability to constantly evolve with, understand and implement the latest building construction technologies & convey schemes successfully using the latest mediums.
Our Expert Team
Ayshford Sansome is managed with a unique approach compared with other practices. We are not driven by the bottom line above all else. Delivering a quality product and the highest levels of service, both for the client and the contractor are as important. The value of that approach is that staff gain job satisfaction through having adequate time to properly execute their roles.
Job satisfaction means longevity, stability & continuity in our team. In turn providing experience that is cumulative and shared, and so it is that even our most junior staff have been with the business for many years and are highly competent members of the organisation. This coupled with an egalitarian culture that encourages everyone to contribute to both the running of the business as well as design solutions, means a rich diversity of ideas & a team that is invested in ensuring positive outcomes in all areas of what we do.
Aside from the formal qualifications and extensive experience of our Architects, Technicians and Technologists. We participate in ongoing professional development via our structured in-house CPD training (in addition to that offered by professional bodies such as the RIBA and CIAT). This combination of training, qualification, experience, and opportunity are what make our team special.
Ayshford Sansome has a long history of using 3D technology and media to assist clients and the construction team in understanding a building project, at all project stages. 3D renders (or ‘artists' impressions’), 3D walk-through videos and now virtual reality models are tools we employ that can convey spaces in a way that two dimensional drawings simply cannot.
In addition, enhanced BIM (building information technology) practices can use the 3D building information developed by Ayshford Sansome alongside other consultant input to aid the smooth delivery of a project. For example by means of ‘clash detection’, programme illustration. Post-project completion, BIM information can be used by facilities management teams to continue to run and maintain a building.
