Green light for new environmental centre

Ayshford Sansome have submitted a planning application to renovate part of Prospects College Basildon Campus to create a new state of the art Centre of Excellence for Environmental Technologies.

The centre will teach apprentices from the existing plumbing and electrical skills training centres on the site as well as adults looking to re-train how to install and work with photovoltaic panels, solar thermal systems, ground and air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and rainwater harvester systems.

The 1150m2 scheme, supported by £1 million of funding from Essex County Council, will involve a new glazed main elevation, a new commercial entrance and reception area, re-furbished classrooms and conference facilities and a skills training hall for practical teaching.

The new centre is due to be open by Easter 2013.

Great CPD feedback

Ayshford Sansome would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Pete Jeavons of Iceni Projects Limited for last week’s incredibly informative CPD on ‘Sustainability – Policy/Regulatory Update’.  We now feel forewarned of the up and coming regulation updates due to come into effect in 2013.

We enjoyed one of our largest CPD audiences to date which was truly fitting, as this is our last CPD for 2012.

Thank you to all our 2012 guest speakers and attendees we have had join us over the past 12 months.
